This book contains daily readings from 1st December to 6th January. Each chapter begins with a scripture extract which is followed by a commentary and a suggestion for ways to reflect on the theme for the day. There are also questions for personal use or group discussion. The Bible passages chosen take the reader on a journey from Genesis to Revelation, tracing the coming and the second coming of Christ.

The Revd Dr Rodney Holder recently retired as Course Director of the Faraday Institute for Science and Religion at St Edmund’s College Cambridge. He is a mathematician and astrophysicist who is also a theologian with experience as a parish priest. He has contributed much to the dialogue between science and religion and this book is clearly written with many thought provoking comments about the use of science within the work of an almighty God who creates and sustains. Above all, it is a helpful companion for anyone wanting to meet with the living God in their own circumstances and reach out to others with the good news from God through the incarnation. Here is a book to read and recommend.
