This book provides a useful review of possible answers to many of the questions raised by a study of science and Christian belief. Such matters as evolution, Intelligent Design and the ‘big bang’ are discussed in the context of what the Bible says and the discoveries of science. There are helpful indexes including a list of the questions dealt with. The book is clearly written, but requires some concentration.

Karl Giberson is a professor of physics and executive vice president of The BioLogos Foundation. Francis Collins, a geneticist, was leader of the Human Genome Project and founder of the BioLogos Foundation. He is currently director of the National Institutes of Health in the USA.

BioLogos “affirms that the Bible is the inspired Word of God”. The authors state that “we are committed to helping the church-and students in particular-develop worldviews....that allow science and faith to co-exist peacefully” (www.biologos.org or info@biologos.org). This is a useful book to have on your shelf.
