Current Situation: Canon Theologian at Chelmsford Cathedral. I am an Associate Tutor for the North Thames Ministerial Training Course and a Tutor for the East Anglia Ministerial Training Course. I am a Selector for the Church of England's Board of Ministry.
Particular interests: Lay training and development, Augustine of Hippo, Communication, Continuous education, Family services, Bible study and exposition at an accessible level.

History: Born in London and educated at Dulwich College and St Catharine's College Cambridge. Trained for ordination in the Church of England at St John's College Nottingham. Served as Curate at Holy Trinity Leicester 1971-74, Holy Trinity Cambridge 1974-77 and St John's Woking Surrey 1977-81. First Vicar of Goldsworth Park Woking Surrey 1981-93. Vicar of Wyke Normandy Guildford Surrey and Guildford Diocesan Adviser for Lay Training and Continuing Education 1993-98.
Family: Married to Diane (Smith) in 1971, and has children Hannah (b.75) and Matthew (b.79).
